There's a growing rumour tonight that Fernando Torres could soon be on his way to Newcastle United - and the club's fans are absolutely desperate for it to be true.
The Spanish World Cup winning striker was once one of the planet's leading strikers, but the goals - as well as playing time - have dried up at hometown club Atletico Madrid of late.
Still only 32, Torres has found the net just three times in 17 appearances this season, leading to speculation he could be heading for pastures new during the current transfer window.
And, apparently, several of Spain's leading newspapers tomorrow will feature the story claiming Torres is close to being reunited with former manager Rafa Benitez at St. James's Park - which has led to a lot of excitement:
