Premier League Club To Make Loan Move For John Terry

Premier League Club To Make Loan Move For John Terry

Interesting move.

At the end of last season John Terry got a stay of execution at Chelsea but the club captain is unlikely to stay at the club past the summer but he might not even get that far.

Last season Terry announced that the club weren't going to be offering him a new deal and so he would be leaving Stamford Bridge with his contract running out.

However with interim manager Guus Hiddink leaving and being replaced by new boss Antonio Conte the 'captain, leader, legend' was given a new one year deal.

Terry though has not been able to turn that new deal into game time. The centre back has only played 366 minutes of league football as well as two appearances in cups.

The central defender's contract ends once again at the end of the season however according to The Telegraph Eddie Howe has made an enquiry to Chelsea about taking Terry on loan until the end of the season.

Howe has done brilliantly to get the Cherries up to ninth so far this season but their defence have conceded 34 goals in the process.

On top of that the South Coast side have lost one of their top performers Nathan Ake. The defender was on loan from Chelsea but the Stamford Bridge side recalled him this week.

Terry is behind Gary Cahill, David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta in the centre back pecking order whilst Zurt Zouma is now back from injury and Ake would also likely be ahead of him.

The 35 year old could essentially decide to end his career with the Blues early and see a boost to his time in the Premier League the same that Jack Wilshere has recently experienced.

It could be a great move for all three parties.
