As far as transfer windows go it wasn't exactly a busy few months for Spurs. They simply watched as everyone else did something, anything. But that hasn't stopped people voting them the winners of the window.
It's the same every transfer window. Lots of rumours with half of them coming off and half of them now.
Of course it's not necessarily that the ones that don't happen are because someone has lied or made it up.
Firstly you've got to consider that sometimes a club is linked to more than one player per position when they only need one and equally sometimes more than one club are linked to the same player so, unless you're Benik Afobe, a player won't move twice in one window.

There was one thing different about this transfer window of course and that's the fact we knew all of the rumours involving Spurs were going to end up being complete and utter tosh only due to the club itself.
Mauricio Pochettino wanted Jack Grealish so Daniel Levy tried to force Aston Villa to sell him cheap, then Villa got taken over and no longer needed to sell so the midfielder stayed put and Levy ended with egg on his face.
That left the north London club signing literally no one, the first time a club has signed zero players in the summer transfer window since they came into existence in the summer of 2003.

However despite all that we put it to you lot to find out who had the best transfer window of all and, perhaps unsurprisingly, a majority decided to troll poor Spurs:
Pochettino's side are in the position of having finished third and second in the last three seasons so he's already got a pretty good side around him.

The problem of course is that Liverpool and Arsenal have both improved below them whilst Chelsea will be expected to do better than last season's fifth place finish.
The north London club did do well to keep hold of all of their star names, and Pochettino, but you start to wonder if the investment isn't there in the near future and if results are worse than previous seasons how long that can last.
There's a target on their back now, can they defend it with what they had in their weaponry last season?
