Swansea City Plotting Move For Bayern Munich Player
Swansea City's new boss Paul Clement has some pretty big contacts, following his coaching gigs at some of the biggest clubs in the world under Carlo Ancelotti.
Clement has enjoyed spells at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and most recently at Bayern Munich.
Though his desire to become the main-man at the helm saw him leave Bayern for Premier League side Swansea.
And it appears Clement is hoping his former club will be willing to let one of their youngster leave the Bavarians for the Swans.
Defender Holger Badstuber is on Clement's radar as he prepares to plot a move for the German as he seeks to reinforce his side's leaky defence.
"Over the time I've worked I've established a lot of relationships and a large network of knowledge and across lots of different clubs."
While identifying Badstuber; "I haven't decided on centre-backs here, but you can take Badstuber as an example, a German national team player who has come through the ranks at Bayern."
Competition at Bayern has prevented the player from playing regular football as stated by Clement; "He's not playing so much at the moment because Javi Martinez, Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels are all ahead for him."
Though proposes the question; is it a realistic target considering the interest expressed by fellow league side Manchester City?
"You can think, 'he could do a good job here' but then you see him linked with Manchester City so then you have to ask if it's a realistic target."
Continuing to add; "There's a reality of where we are, but we can tap contacts to help us look elsewhere."
