Tottenham Hotspurs Star Tempted By Chinese Super League

The Chinese Super League continues to rack up new talent by purchasing former Champions League and Premier League winner Ricardo Carvalho, and the red-hot league is tempting another Prem ace.

CSL sides are going all out to lure players to the Chinese revolution by tabling extremely lucrative contracts, and they even tried to tempt budding sensation Dele Alli with an astronomical offer.

But one Spurs midfielder who is tempted with a move to the fledgling CSL is Moussa Dembele. The Belgium international has hinted about a potential move admitting it's a decent option for older players.

"It is a very difficult choice. For young players who are still growing, it is not wise to go. For older players maybe it's different." Dembele Het Nieuwsblad via Evening Standard.

While adding; "But honestly I have no idea about the level of the championship there. It is hard to say."

The 29-year-old, who turns 30 this year, has seen his international colleague, Axel Witsel, swap Europe for Asia as he links up with Tianjin Quanjian and will be pocketing a shitload of money week-in-week-out.

And the January transfer window has also seen Chelsea pair Oscar and John Obi Mikel head to the Far East for mega-bucks as more names continue to be linked with a move.

But boss Mauricio Pochettino is confident his players will not be enticed with a move to China by claiming they would prefer to ply their trade in a competitive league;

"I don't believe it's a danger for us. I can accept all the decisions, but it's sometimes difficult to understand this type of decision."

"Football for me is not only money." Tell that to Carlos Tevez.

"It's to be competitive and for me the Premier League is the most important league in the world. It's not only money, for me, it's a passion. I need to feel the competition."

Could Dembele eventually swap the Premier League for a CSL side?
