We've seen a lot of passionate protests against controversial refereeing decisions in the past but Vietnamese side Long An FC went almost as extreme as any team we've ever seen after conceding a late spot kick to Ho Chi Minh City in a recent cup game.
With the score level at 2-2 approaching the final minutes of the match, the ref awarded a penalty to the visitors, sparking a furious reaction from the home side.
Long An's goalkeeper Nguyen Minh Nhut was ordered by his teammates to turn his back as the penalty was taken, purposefully conceding to allow his team to fall behind.

As if that bizarre protest wasn't enough, Long An followed that up by allowing Ho Chi Minh City to help themselves to another two goals.

There has been no word as of yet as to whether Long An's players will face any punishment from the Vietnamese FA for their actions, as they essentially threw a game on purpose and therefore brought the game into disrepute, even if it was in protest rather than match fixing.

Fair play to Ho Chi Minh City for gleefully filling their boots, with Victor Ormazabal scoring the easiest goals of his career in the process.
What do you make of Long An's actions, though? A worthy act of defiance at poor officiating or a stupid, petty protest?
