Real Madrid Defender Paid Someone To Help With His Driving Test

Real Madrid defender cheated on his driving test by paying mate to help.

I never passed my driving test. Partially because I utterly loathed being behind the wheel and partially because three times I failed my theory by one mark- I did no revision for them, as with my GCSEs and A-levels (yes, this shows in my writing)- maybe I should have paid someone to help.

Most people are utterly desperate to pass their driving test as soon as they turn 17, if not beforehand, but for me I never fancied the idea of driving that much and when I did decide to learn I didn't like it.

As I say though that's unusual because most people are desperate for their independence and that puts more pressure on themselves to pass first time, both their theory and practical.

But just how desperate do you have to be to pay someone to help you cheat on your theory test? About as desperate as Real Madrid left back Fabio Coentrao apparently.

Portuguese paper O Jogo report that Coentrao paid someone £3,500 to make hand signals in the background of him taking his theory test to point out the answers, that certainly wouldn't work in the UK.

The 29 year old left his native country back in 2011 to join Los Blancos and he explained in court that he was desperate to pass his test before he moved across the Iberian peninsular to the Spanish capital.

The left back has now been punished by the Portuguese courts but not in the way of having to retake his test or anything but in the form of a £2,600 fine paid to a charity food bank in Braga.

This season Zinedine Zidane has been doing a great job of paying Coentrao to look like a footballer without being one as the full-back has played just 22 minutes of league football.

It only cost the player around £6000 to cheat his way to being allowed to drive and I've paid a hell of a lot more in taxis, should have just cheated!
