Think of the most ridiculous transfer rumour you've ever heard. Now make it even more implausible and finally give it a bit of a panche by including one of the classiest players the Premier League has ever seen. And now you've got Dimitar Berbatov's latest transfer rumour.
Quite frankly there's never been a player in Premier League history with as much class as Dimitar Berbatov. The Bulgarian just exuded class in every way, he had more cool in his left pinky toe than most players have in all.
At Spurs Berba proved just how good he could be and at Manchester United that class meant titles but unfortunately his sometimes languid stylings didn't quite fit in with the United way and he didn't last too long at Old Trafford.

He then spent time at Fulham before moving abroad to Monaco and latterly a spell in Greece with PAOK.
Since the summer he's been without a club and in January he revealed he'd love a move back to England. Yesterday the 36 year old was spotted watching Salford City and it partially kicked off some silly rumours:
The ridiculous rumour was also reported on by the Sun who noted that the former United player had been seeking a new club and admitted he wanted to return to a club on these shores.

Salford are of course owned by former United players Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville.
If anyone could get Berba to play non league football it might be his former colleagues but that doesn't stop it being ridiculous!
