Has this ever happened to you?

As FIFA enthusiasts, we are bound to have conceded some truly ridiculous goals over the years that have led to us seriously considering throwing our controllers at the TV.

In some cases, the goal is so annoying that your only natural reaction is to hurl your pad at the screen.

And that would certainly be a reaction you'd expect this gamer to have after the goal he conceded recently.

'RockZ-', a user on the FIFA subreddit, posted a clip of a goal he conceded playing the game yesterday and it's all kinds of weird.

Somehow, a water bottle appears on the pitch in the six yard box and as the ball strikes it, the direction of the ball changes and completely wrong-foots his goalkeeper and the ball rolls into the back of the net.

If we're being honest, if an object is right near the goal in a real life game of football, then chances are it's going to cause an issue - as Pepe Reina and Liverpool found out with the famous Darren Bent beachball goal in 2009. The element of realism is definitely there to see.

But it doesn't make it any less annoying and the gamer was clearly fuming when he conceded the goal - though luckily he went on to win the game.

Fortunately for the sake of my television and PlayStation controller, this has never happened to me but it turns out that this has happened to other players on the game.

Just five months ago, another Reddit user posted a clip of the deadly water bottle striking and this one is perhaps even worse as the shot is nowhere near on target.

Imagine if this happened to you in a tense, must-win game of Ultimate Team? Nightmare.

The head honchos at EA Sports work tirelessly to try and make adjustments to FIFA to improve the game for the benefit of the players and they recently released a new update for the game.

The seventh title update for this year's game sees a number of changes to the FUT Champions mode, which seems to have gone down well with FIFA enthusiasts as many have been crying out for adjustments for quite some time here.

Here is the message that FIFA players were greeted to, with details of the patch notes:

And the second page of improvements informed gamers that EA have abolished the arrow feature on penalties on FUT Champions matches.

FIFA 17 saw a change in the way penalties would have to be taken, as getting the movement and direction spot on from the arrow is absolutely crucial to finding the back of the net.

It's certainly divided opinion and now EA have acted by disabling the penalty kick dictator from any FUT Champions game that you play.

Those who were informed of the changes to the game are PC players, though this is typically FIFA's go-to platform for testing before they put things in place on the more popular consoles. It appears as though the update has now reached Xbox One and PS4.

There is no mention of anything to do with the physics of a water bottle coming into play and sabotaging the game so it appears as though it happening to you is still a genuine possibility for the time being.

Has this ever happened to you before?

As always, let us know in the comments.
