Miesha Tate Lands A Shot At 'Desperate' OnlyFans Fighters

Miesha Tate has criticised UFC fighters who have OnlyFans pages, calling them 'desperate' and saying she wouldn't have one.

There's been plenty of talk over the years about how much UFC pays its fighters and that's been brought into focus once again recently by Jake Paul.

The YouTuber turned boxer offered to retire from the sport if UFC president Dana White agreed to pay the fighters better, and also offered his own services to UFC in the meantime.

One way fighters could make more money is opening up their own streams of revenue, such as an OnlyFans page, but that's clearly not for Tate.

The 35-year-old was asked if she'd ever open her own page, when discussing what she'll do with her post UFC career, and OF is clearly off the table.

"Nowhere in this video did I say I was desperate," she told Combat Culture.

Whilst Paige VanZant, who is no longer in the UFC, has created her own page for her content for subscribers to pay for, others have used OnlyFans.

The likes of Jessica Andrade, Jessica Penne, Kay Hansen and Bec Rawlings have all signed up to the site, and are obviously all 'desperate' the eyes of Tate.

Tate, the former UFC bantamweight champion, only returned to the promotion last summer, having not fought since 2016 and retiring to start a family.

She beat Marion Reneau on her return to the octagon, before losing to a very emotional Ketlen Vieira at a Fight Night show in November.

UFC fighter Julia Avila wasn't happy with Tate's comments and replied on Instagram, saying, "This is aggravating. Yes women have an only fans and what of it?

"Maybe they want attention. Maybe they want an extra dollar. Maybe they just WANT TO CELEBRATE THEIR WOMANHOOD AND HOW FUCKING GORGEOUS THEY ARE.

"It’s not our place to judge or to tear down another woman for it. Fix your crown queen before casting stones on another because, honey, NONE of us are without fault and it’s a hard fucking world without having to tear one another down.

"Rather than criticizing how about, ‘it’s not for me’, plain and simple."
