Tom Hardy wins gold in another jiu-jitsu tournament, his highlight reel is scary

Every time a new video pops up of the Venom actor rolling around and grappling it always seems to amaze.

Tom Hardy has won yet another jiu-jitsu competition in a convincing fashion.

The acclaimed actor is well known for his passion for martial arts away from his career as a Hollywood star.

And he’s pretty damn good at it as well.

Every time a new video pops up of the Venom actor rolling around and grappling it always seems to amaze.

This time MMA star Tom DeBlass, who has competed in Bellator and the UFC, posted a few of Hardy’s highlights from the recent competition, and they’re insane.

One of the clips shows the Peaky Blinders star grabbing his opponent with a beautiful double-leg takedown and slamming him to the ground in convincing fashion.

Another shows some lovely technique as he grabbles with his opponent on the mat before catching him with a triangle choke.

It seems as though DeBlass is Hardy's biggest fan as well, claiming that despite his fame he’s a dedicated jiu-jitsu practitioner.

He wrote: “I'm proud of this guy. Tom Hardy doesn't need to prove a damn thing, yet not only is he training in his mid-forties, but the man is out there competing!

“He doesn't ask for special treatment, and I've personally witnessed him say yes to every person that asks him to roll (which imo we should be a bit more selective when rolling, as Tom is going in there just for some friendly rolls and some dudes may truly think they are rolling against Bane.)

“P.s. he hit a double leg in the match that was PERFECTION with 10 seconds left. I'm trying to get him let me post, he's such a humble dude.

"Congratulations to his opponent, I saw the match and the man brought everything he had!

"He was exceptionally strong with huge heart! Tom also said his kindness was second to none.

"The Jiu-Jitsu world is proud of you, my man. See you in a couple of months, brother. Can't wait."

He went on to post those highlights, whether that was with Hardy’s permission or not, and he sure is right about how talented the man is.

He went on to win another gold medal at the competition, following his win at a Milton Keynes competition back in September last year.

Hardy has been refreshingly honest about how important the sport is to him in the past.

Last year, he wrote on Instagram: “Addiction is difficult and complex stuff to navigate; as is mental health. Subjects which are both deeply personal for me and extremely close to my heart.

“It is an honour to be able to represent the charity and my team REORG and the great work they do supporting the mental health and well-being of veterans of service, military and first responders through the therapeutic benefits of Jiu Jitsu and fitness training.

“Simple training, for me (as a hobby and a private love) has been fundamentally key to further develop a deeper sense of inner resilience, calm and well-being. I can’t stress the importance it has had and the impact on my life and my fellow team mates.”
