Brock Lesnar Announced As WWE 2K17 Cover Star

The Beast Incarnate

Brock Lesnar has been confirmed as the official cover star for the upcoming release of the WWE 2K17 video game.

Paul Heyman, advocate for the Beast Incarnate, broke the news on a conference call in a "State of the Union" address and shared his thoughts on a host of topics in the world of WWE.

It is the latest achievement in a series of impressive accomplishments for Lesnar, who is the only man to have held the NCAA Division One World Heavyweight Championship, the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, the UFC World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Since his return in 2012, Lesnar has been on a path of destruction and has been a top box office attraction. As Heyman so often mentions, he conquered the Undertaker's undefeated streak at Wrestlemania 30 and is seemingly untouchable.

So much so that he has now been granted the freedom to switch between the world of WWE and the UFC, with Lesnar returning to the Octagon to fight Mark Hunt at UFC 200 on July 9. He will back in the squared circle for Summerslam on August 21. Coincidentally, Lesnar is the only man to have appeared on the cover of both UFC and WWE video games.

Heyman, the father of the now defunct ECW brand and a long-time mentor for Lesnar, expects WWE 2K17 to be the best game WWE have produced. Earlier this month, WWE announced that the legendary Goldberg is a playable character in WWE 2K17 if you pre-order the game. In the trailer released by the sports entertainment juggernaut, fans could make out a "Suplex City' sign in the reflection of a police car window, potentially teasing a match up between two of wrestling's most frightening specimens.

But fans will be able to get a taste of Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg in WWE 2K17. The game is released worldwide on October 11.
