Randy Orton's probably waking up this morning ever so slightly regretting that "no enhancement needed" line that he dropped in a recent promo to hype his SummerSlam match with Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar, who is currently mired in controversy following two failed drugs tests around his UFC 200 comeback victory over Mark Hunt, had his first match back in the squared circle since WrestleMania 32, last night and decided to leave an impression all over Randy Orton's skull.
'The Beast' dominated the bout until Orton hit two consecutive RKO's, the first of which was on one of the ringside announce tables. However, Lesnar roared back with an F5. Then the gloves came off.

Lesnar's elbows would have been more at home in the octagon than a WWE ring, leaving Orton with a gaping wound in his skull that required 10 staples to close. 'The Beast' was awarded the match via TKO although no one's entirely sure if this was indeed the planned finish to the match or if the referee called it on the spot when he saw how much blood Orton was losing.
Lesnar does seem to be the only Superstar to consistently flaunt the 'no blood' rule that has been implemented since the beginning of the PG era in the WWE. The four time WWE Champion has bled heavily during bouts with Roman Reigns and a Hell In A Cell match with The Undertaker, where Vince McMahon infamously lost his rag backstage after Lesnar, in an unscripted moment, flung a doctor to the mat when he was attempting to attend to his wound. Lesnar's brutal MMA elbows also opened up John Cena in the opening moments of their clash at Extreme Rules 2012.
