Ever since his departure from WWE in 2014 fans have chanted for the return of one of their favourites CM Punk. Finally last night he made his return to a WWE ring live on Monday night Raw, kind of.
The chanting of CM Punk's name has been prevalent at many events in the WWE since he left in controversial circumstances some three years ago.
Any time the show hits Chicago or theirs a teased return of anyone or the fans just want to piss Vince McMahon off they'll often chant in unison for the former leader of the Straight Edged Society.

Last night the audience were treated, not to Punk's return but, to yet another return of The Rock. Not during the show but before and after and the Great One called Punk from the ring and left a message:

And Punk, who is now an MMA fighter with a record of 0-1, having lost his only fight to date in a UFC octagon, definitely heard the message:
Despite it being Wrestlemania season the Rock was sadly not back to announce his return to the 'grandest stage of all', although never rule an appearance out, but for his new film.

The former eight time world champion was back where he belongs because of the new film he is putting together of current WWE star Paige's life.
So Punk wasn't the only one in his family to feature last night with his wife and fellow WWE alumni AJ Lee represented when the actress playing her in the film came to the ring for filming:
Paige shot to fame when she won the WWE Divas title from Lee on her main roster debut the night after Wrestlemania whilst still the NXT Women's champion.

Fans long for the days of AJ Lee and CM Punk, last night was the closest they got all thanks to The Rock!
