WWE have announced today that it will crown the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion live on WWE Network, with a special, two-night tournament to air on Saturday, January 14 and Sunday, January 15, 2017 beginning at 8:00 PM GMT.
For years now the UK has been a massive market for WWE, with the company doing two trips to the UK with the main roster, as well as beginning touring the UK with the NXT brand.
And now they have gone a step further, with WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events & Creative Paul "Triple H" Levesque announcing a 16-man single-elimination tournament that will feature the very best talents in the British wrestling scene.
Trent Seven, famous for his work in Fight Club: Pro, CHIKARA and PROGRESS is part of the tournament, as are fellow midlanders Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate - who are two of the very best young wrestlers in the world today.

19-year old Dan Moloney, who we spoke to back in May, joins his fellow Fight Club: Pro wrestlers in the tournament.
'Body Guy' Roy Johnson, a former powerlifter, is also involved, while the brawn Tyson T-Bone and Irish high-flyer Jordan Devlin have also been confirmed as part of the tournament that will showcase the very best wrestlers in the UK.
NXT coaches and Brit wrestling legends William Regal were pivotal in the selection process for the tournament, which will be called by WWE lead commentator Michael Cole and Nigel McGuiness, widely considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers to emerge from these shores.
