Conor McGregor joined an elite group of just two fighters (BJ Penn and Randy Couture) to claim two UFC titles in two different divisions, but the very first in the promotions history to hold them at the same time following his historic UFC 205 victory dethroning Eddie Alvarez to capture the lightweight belt adding to his featherweight crown.

Though despite the unprecedented landmark, the official UFC pound-for-pound ranking has him ranked No.2 behind reigning and defending UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson.

'Mighty Mouse' is sporting a 24-2-1 professional record and has stringed together an impressive 10-fight win streak wiping out the division in the process from experienced fighters to budding prospects, Johnson has beaten all-comers.

UFC P4P rankings:

The Crumlin-fighter replicated his Cage Warriors triumph back in 2012 by claiming a second UFC title after an incredible outing at UFC 205. McGregor dominated Alvarez, pinging him with his signature left-hand eventually notching up a second-round finish.

Meanwhile, Dagestan phenom Khabib Nurmagomedov staked a claim for a UFC title shot after brutalising Michael Johnson not only extending his unbeaten record to an insane 24-0 but also becoming the new No.1 contender in the lightweight division.

Who's next for McGregor?

Aldo? Khabib? Ferguson? Diaz? Mayweather?

Interesting times ahead.
