Conor McGregor continues to hone his hands with a Floyd Mayweather mega-fight rumbling on. The UFC champion took to Instagram to upload footage of his boxing skills.

And, boy, does he look sharp.

The potential fight received another shot in the arm following Hall of Famer Freddie Roach's words on The MMA Hour. "We're in a different era now. It looks like it's gonna happen."

The competitiveness of the bout is being overshadowed by McGregor's ability to sell the fight. The man who'll now train former world champion Scott Quigg, continues by adding;

"Everything is pointing in the right direction. I think Conor will have his hands full with a boxer like Floyd. But he's sellable, he's making some noise."

Though Roach isn't completely ruling out the Crumlin-fighters chances. Renown for his patented left-hand, the trainer to the stars feels McGregor's dynamite hands could prove to be the ultimate equaliser.

"But you know, one punch can change everything." McGregor dramatically stopped Jose Aldo with one deadly counter left-hook to become the new undisputed featherweight champion back at UFC 194.

"It's the sport we're in. I'm not gonna count him out completely. I think Mayweather is the favorite, yes, but I wouldn't count anyone out. Because he throws, he throws hard and he's not afraid to throw."

Meanwhile, McGregor, who's been over in the States to iron out a few things from NSAC issues to contract negotiations, clearly looks in fighting shape as he shows off his impressive handy work.

The video titled 'This is martial art' shows the lightweight king going through his paces. He starts with his routine warm-up which includes the now signature stretches who is an advocate for human movement. Followed by a workout on the heavy bag.
