14-time world champion Triple H has talked openly about the likelihood of UFC stars Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor heading to WWE at some point in the future.

The NXT head honcho was speaking to TheLADBible ahead of WWE's 16-man United Kingdom Championship tournament and was quizzed about the prospect of seeing the duo in a WWE ring.

Rousey, still reeling from her devastating loss at UFC 207 at the hands of Amanda Nunes, has been strongly linked with making the WWE switch and already has experience of putting Triple H on his backside after her Wrestlemania 31 appearance.

And Triple H was in attendance for Conor McGregor's UFC 205 triumph over Eddie Alvarez, sparking rumours of the Irishman joining WWE.

The Notorious One seemingly has a somewhat rocky relationship with WWE superstars after slagging them off and calling them "pussies" a few months back.

But it's clear that such a marketable man, with his unmatched trash-talking ability, would be a perfect fit for WWE and would bring so much attention to sports entertainment/professional wrestling

Commenting on the possibility of seeing the two in WWE at some point in the future, Triple H said:

"I think it's likely at some point. Obviously there are some questions of Ronda and what she's going to do next. She's a huge fan of what we do, always has been and loves it. As the next step in her career, from an entertainment standpoint, I think it makes sense. I think it's something that she would love to do so is that a possibility? Sure.

"Conor has a world of opportunities and I think he's wisely taking advantage of all the opportunities he can. Whether that be to talk a lot, garner publicity when it comes to Mayweather or whether or not he takes other opportunities, I'm sure his number one focus in his life is competing in the UFC.

"But I think he's wide open, he's a smart businessman and is looking to make his name globally as big as humanly possible and I certainly think WWE has a track record of being able to do that for people. I have a mutual respect for him [McGregor], we've chatted briefly and we'll see. I think he loves what we do and respects it but is smart enough to tell people what they want to hear on the internet and get the most reaction."

The Game also commented on who he would like to see the two match up against should they be WWE-bound.

"I guess if we had to look for Ronda, maybe Charlotte right now because she's been such a dominant force in the women's division and probably size and stylistically, from a physicality standpoint, they match up a lot.

"For McGregor, I think a lot of people would say Brock [Lesnar]. There's like a 100 pound weight difference there but it would be an interesting fight. But there's so many guys in our industry in WWE who have some type of mixed martial arts background that they can incorporate into their style in the ring. Being a lot more athletic and physical style, I think there's a lot of guys McGregor could line up with - be it a Seth Rollins or even a Finn Balor or someone that has that physical style and would match it up with him."

Book it, brother.
