Genie Bouchard Just Confirmed A Story Surrounding Her Superbowl Date

IT'S HAPPENING!

Eugenie Bouchard's date with a superfan from Twitter has apparently snowballed into something much more serious - a date at the Superbowl on Sunday night.

Last year, the Tennis star famously bet a fan on social media that the New England Patriots wouldn't beat the Atlanta Falcons in last year's Super Bowl.

The stake on the bet? If the fan, John Goehrke won, Bouchard would have to go on a date with him.

Initially, he kind of dared her to go out with him if the NFL's New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl - despite the Pats being far, far behind in the game at the time.

Of course, because Tom Brady is a cyborg sent from the future to destroy the hopes and dreams of every other team in the NFL not called the New England Patriots, the Patriots won.

Then Genie accepted the loss and the pair went to a basketball game - and the rest is social media dating history.

That's right, sports fans, Bouchard and Goehrke have been out on not just one, but several dates since last year's Super Bowl wager.

TMZ reported that the pair have been to the beach together, and have also posted pics hanging out at one of their homes.

And now it looks like she just confirmed her attendance to tomorrow's SuperBowl with John. What a lucky bloke!

The couple were invited by NFL Canada to attend the Super Bowl, which will see the New England Patriots (again) take on the Philadelphia Eagles on 4th February.

Most people have reacted positively to GoeChard's big news, although some expressed confusion and just a little bit of jealousy. Not certain 'GoeChard' will catch on, to be honest, but you never know.
