Golden Jeffrey could win well at Ayr.

With Cheltenham almost two weeks away, we're looking to make some tidy profit for the festival. Monday's card sees jump racing at Plumpton and Ayr, whilst Wolverhampton holds its flat meeting.

Our man James Stevens has picked out three selections that he reckons could have a big say today.

Plumpton 14:35 - BAGGING TURF 9/4 (NB)

Gary and Joshua Moore team up with Bagging Turf who looked set to be in contention before falling two from home last time out. The seven-year-old was in third position and set to make a challenge to the front before crashing home, and is dropped in grade this afternoon.

He's got a nice weight in the handicap, and he won well on his penultimate start. He'll love both the ground and trip, and this is a brilliant chance to return to winning ways.

Wolverhampton 16:55 - BLUSHING RED 10/3

Ed Dunlop's Blushing Red could take all the beating in this maiden contest, the three-year-old has only made one racecourse appearance finishing fourth at Yarmouth.

The winner of that race hasn't ran since whilst the other two that defeated him have gone on to run well. His pedigree is exceptional and with some racecourse experience under his belt, expect a big run from him.

Ayr 17:15 - GOLDEN JEFFREY 11/8 (NAP)

This encouraging four-year-old kicked off his career finishing third in a bumper at Catterick and expect more to come from Mark Johnston's Gelding. He was just over a length away on debut and he should be in a better shape having experienced the racecourse.

He's very well bred and in this amateur riders contest he'll be ridden by Alex Ferguson, one of the leading young jockeys in the UK. He's one for the future and should break his maiden today.
