After Didier Deschamps shocked everyone by not taking Alexandre Lacazette to Euro 2016, it seemed as though he'd slip under the transfer radar yet again.

However, after some interesting betting trends in France, Ladbrokes have cut the odds on the striker making a switch to Arsenal.

The Frenchman has recently expressed his desire to leave Lyon which is likely to make Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger step up his interest in the striker.

With just three weeks to go until the start of the season, Wenger is desperate to add to his front line and Lacazette could be his main target.

Having reportedly told Lyon officials he wants out this summer, a whole host of clubs will be after Lacazette's signature, with PSG and West Ham 7/1 behind Arsenal ready to pounce.

Ladbrokes News' Alex Apati said: "It seems like the perfect match - Lacazette wants a new challenge and the Gunners want a new forward, and today's odds are suggesting the striker could be heading to the Emirates pretty soon."

Don't get excited too quickly though Arsenal fans, we all know what Wenger is like in the transfer window.
