The Six Nations is finally back with us this weekend and with Wales v Ireland on Friday night and England v Scotland & Italy v France on Saturday, we're set for a massive weekend of rugby.

We've picked out our thoughts on the best bets available in each:

Wales vs Ireland (Friday 8:05 pm)

Wales were handed a heavy defeat against Scotland at Murrayfield last outing, so will want a win this weekend to get some points on the board.

They have little more than that to hope for this year, due to their average form in recent weeks. It's easy to see how badly Warren Gatland is needed by Wales.

Due to this, Ireland should be clear favourites this weekend but any game in Cardiff is a hard slog. We'd expect Wales to put up a fight but eventually burn out before 60 minutes, which suits Ireland fine, as their title chase is still in sight, if only just.

Recommended bet: Ireland WIN 8/13

Italy vs France (Saturday 1:30pm)

In the grand scheme of things, this game doesn't really matter much with the tournament's bottom two sides playing for pride more than anything else.

France have been both brilliant and terrible this year and it has landed them above lowly Italy, firmly in 5th.

Les Bleus have been unpredictable this year to the point where they could come out and batter Italy or be drawn in to a really tight encounter.

Italy will be desperate for points and France seem like their best chance to get some. However, even at their best, the Italians are still the weak link in the Tier 1 nations, so we think France will win this, perhaps comfortably.

Recommended bet: France -19 handicap EVS

England vs Scotland (Saturday 4pm)

Scotland will be travelling to west London quietly confident of getting a result. It's been a very long time since Scotland won the Calcutta Cup, let alone won it at Twickenham.

Wins over Ireland and Wales earlier in the tournament show how dangerous the Scots can be when they show up.

England are obviously favourites; they have the history and the modern day talent to see off this Scottish side.

We think the men in white will take the day but the Northerners could cause an upset if you're brave enough to stick a few quid on them.

Recommended bet: Scotland +13 handicap EVS
