Cardiff v Leeds

With five points from seven games Cardiff are enduring their worst start to the Championship since their relegation from the Premiership a few seasons ago. Leeds have also started the season poorly picking up just seven points from a possible 21.

Both sides have kept just one clean sheet in the league all season and therefore there should be a few goals in this one.

Suggested bet: BTTS 10/11

Barnsley v Reading

Barnsley are off to a flyer so far this season, they sit 3rd in the table, only one point off the top. After smashing Wolves away 4-0 on Tuesday night they'll be eager to put on a good display against a Reading side that have had a mixed start to the season.

With two losses out of three on the road Reading have relied on their home form to keep them in the top half of the table, Barnsley have won three out of three on home soil so far scoring nine in the process.

Suggested bet: Barnsley draw no bet 8/13

Blackburn v Rotherham

Rock bottom Blackburn host fellow strugglers Rotherham in what could turn out to be an important result come May.A must win game for Blackburn could see them get their much needed first win of the season.

Rotherham have lost all 3 away games so far conceding 10 and scoring zero, Blackburn's two losses at home however did come against high flyers Norwich and Fulham. A win for them could be on the cards.

Suggested Bet: Blackburn Win 11/10

Brentford v Preston North End

Brentford have done well at home so far, unbeaten, with two wins out of three, the only goal they've conceded at home was a last minute header against Sheffield Wednesday. The two wins they have gained are a 2-0 win over Ipswich and a 1-0 win over Forest.

Preston, however have two losses out of three away from home and have just six points from seven games. Brentford have won all games in their last five meetings with each other.

Suggested bet: Brentford win 21/20

Bristol City v Derby

On paper Derby should be at the top end of the table, instead they sit 20th on just five points. Bristol City have started the season well, with their only home loss being against Newcastle.

Derby have come out on top in this fixture in previous seasons, however given their form a win may not be straightforward. The Rams only win this season was away from home and City have conceded in all three home games so far. Derby will be eager to turn their season round but it wont be easy.

Suggested bet: BTTS 8/11

Burton v Brighton

Brighton came so close to promotion last year missing out on the last day of the season. So far, they have started fairly well, and will be happy with their Tuesday night win against league leaders Huddersfield. Burton have made a bright start this year after being promoted from League One.

Brighton will look to carry on their climb up the table. There could be goals in this one, Burton have scored in all three home games so far but Brighton are no easy team to keep out.

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 Match goals 23/20

Huddersfield v QPR

Huddersfield have surprised everyone so far this season, sitting top of the table after seven games above the likes of Newcastle, Norwich, Villa, Brighton etc. How long until they start to drop off? Or will they keep going? QPR will be a test this weekend, Rangers are no weak side, 6-0 loss to Newcastle aside.

If the West Yorkshire side are serious about promotion then these are the type of games they must win. QPR have a decent away record this season so will look to spoil the party.

Suggested bet: BTTS 10/11

Ipswich v Aston Villa

Ipswich are unbeaten at home so far this season and Villa have picked up just one win in the Championship. You could say they were unlucky not to beat Forest at the weekend but the reality is they've spent good money bringing in some serious talent but Champions League winner Di Matteo can't get them to gel.

After managing Wolves for 6 years Mick McCarthy would love a win against Villa, however Villa have grinded out a few draws this season so it could be a close affair.

Suggested bet: Ipswich double chance 8/15

Ipswich

Newcastle v Wolves

Benitez's men have won their last 6 games in all competitions, scoring 17 and conceding just the one. With 5 clean sheets in a row Newcastle are showing the kind of form that everyone expected from them. Wolves were thumped 4-0 at home in the week to Barnsley and Newcastle knocked QPR for 6 which could suggest a big score line for the magpies on Saturday, I'm expecting a big display from Newcastle.

Suggested bet: Newcastle (-1) Handicap result 8/5

Nottingham Forest v Norwich

Both sides have had similar starts to the season, with Norwich sitting on 14 points and Forest on ten. Forest have seen some very high score lines in their games so far. Their three home games have seen 18 goals go in.

Norwich have seen ten on their travels so end to end attacking football is on the cards. Both teams will want the win and both are in good goal scoring form.

Suggested bet: Over 2.5 Match goals 19/20

Wigan v Fulham

After a heroic title winning season Wigan have struggled to cope with the step up in quality from League One to the Championship and have amassed just four points from seven games.

Fulham on the other hand have started quite brightly given the fact that they let their two best players leave this summer- Moussa Dembele and Ross McCormack. Neither have struggled for goals but both can't seem to keep many clean sheets either.

Suggested bet: BTTS 8/11

Birmingham v Sheffield Wednesday

Birmingham's good away form sees them sit 5th in the table. Their home form is average with a win a draw and a loss. Wednesday find themselves in 9th but without an away win so far this season.

Wednesday are a bit of a bogey team for the Blues having lost won four out of the last five meetings between the two sides, and coming from two goals down to win on Tuesday night will give them huge confidence and they could prove tough to beat.

Suggested bet: Sheffield Wednesday Draw no bet 4/5
