TheODDSbible's Premier League Darts Week Two Betting Preview

We've got a 12/1 acca that we love!

The Premier League Darts season continues tonight at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham and we've picked out some great bets.

Following last week's opening night in Newcastle, another 7,000 crowd will see five matches involving ten top darts stars - including the meeting between reigning champion Michael van Gerwen and world number three Peter Wright.

World number two Gary Anderson faces Jelle Klaasen, former Premier League champions Phil Taylor and James Wade face off, Adrian Lewis meets Dave Chisnall and Kim Huybrechts comes up against Raymond van Barneveld.

Adrian Lewis v Dave Chisnall - 19:00

I'm expecting this game to be a close one with Chizzy not showing his full potential in the past week, slacking especially on his finishing. The World number 7 had some decent checkouts but struggled to hit the easy ones. If he can improve on that, he'll be able to take down Lewis - who bottled a 4-1 lead against RvB.

However, I won't be getting on a win market tonight as I like the look of Chisnall Most 180s here. He's a great 180-hitter and though Lewis isn't too bad himself, he hasn't hit them as well recently as he has in the past and 8/11 is a great price in my opinion.

James Wade v Phil Taylor - 19:45

Last week in Newcastle, James Wade did what he does best. He did what was needed and nothing more as his performance was enough to beat Kim Huybrechts 7-5. However, a performance like that will be nowhere near enough to take down The Power - whose finishing was phenomenal in a 7-3 victory over Chisnall, despite having a lower average and considerably less 180s.

I think Taylor will take the win here at 8/11 but I won't be betting on these two.

Jelle Klaasen v Gary Anderson - 20:30

The Cobra showed some quality in his clash with Peter Wright but failed to take the opportunities he carved for himself and it definitely won't be any easier against Gary Anderson. He won't get as many chances against The Flying Scotsman, who is in great form and managed a draw against World Champion Michael van Gerwen.

Gary is playing great darts at the moment and I just can't see past him picking up a win here. The odds are too short for me at 2/5 and I fancy Anderson to take this one comfortably, so I'm backing Anderson -2.5 handicap at 4/5.

Peter Wright v Michael van Gerwen - 21:15

If Peter Wright performs tonight like he did over the weekend - winning two of three UK Open Qualifiers as well as beating MvG) then we've got ourselves the game of the week here. I expect Snakebite to keep up with MvG (as long as he doesn't change his darts again) as Mighty Mike's been slacking in the past few weeks since winning the World Championship.

He doesn't seem as concentrated as he should be and if Wright takes his chances he has the ability to beat MvG again tonight. I can see a Draw in this one at 11/2 but I'm going to play it safer with Peter Wright +3.5 legs at 8/11.

Kim Huybrechts v Raymond van Barneveld - 22:00

Huybrechts didn't deserve to lose in his match against Wade last week. He played well but got unlucky, with Wade doing just enough to pick up a win. However, I can't see him getting any luckier against Barney.

The Dutchman is brilliant and he won against Adrian Lewis last week despite being 4-1 down. I can't see it getting to that stage though and expect the Dutchman to take this one comfortably. I'm taking the Match Double here with Barney to Win and Hit Most 180s at 15/8.
