If Euro 2016 Players Were Game Of Thrones Characters

If Euro 2016 Players Were Game Of Thrones Characters

These could make it in Westeros...

Joshua Jones

Joshua Jones

At the moment, there are two things that have the entire country completely gripped - Euro 2016 and Game of Thrones. As it happens, both of those things are on tonight, and we were wondering which footballers could fit each character perfectly...

Luka Modric as Tyrion Lannister

Both are pint sized geniuses who have absolutely no right to command the presence that they do. The pair are always in the middle of everything, whether it be dictating the game or orchestrating audacious attacks.

Jamie Vardy as Jon Snow

Originally cast out into the wilderness, Vardy and Snow are both bastards who've spent a lot of their life away from the main stage. Now both of their times have come, and they are simultaneously banging shit chatters across France and Westeros respectively.

Thomas Muller as Gendry

Both are likable, enjoyable characters with strong backgrounds. Gendry is the bastard son of Robert Baratheon and Muller is the son of Bayern Munich. Both have been absent from recently though and no-one knows when they're going to make their returns.

Raheem Sterling as Rickon Stark

Disappeared for ages during the season gone past, has returned to the fray very recently but proved to be utterly useless. Ended up being a liability and can only run in a straight line.

Gabor Kiraly as Hodor

Cult hero that has risen to popularity on the back of an inexplicable quirk, now no more after trying and failing to Hold The Door for their 'squad'.

Mario Gomez as Daario Naharis

A well established journeyman that has performed and been victorious all across the land. Still one of the best when it comes to attacking.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Stannis Baratheon

A self proclaimed King that believes he has a divine right to be the ruler of the land. Went into battle with a lot to say and never really delivered. Met a premature end.

Mesut Ozil as Peter Baelish

A deviant little f*cker that makes himself hard to track down and even harder to stop. Always scheming and is usually there or thereabouts when it comes to the real action.

Ivan Perisic as Jaqen H'ghar

A man that no-one expected much of initially. Strikes with deadly precision and is impossible to track. A true faceless man.

Robert Lewandowski as Bronn

A very dangerous man who's destination took a sharp turn due to an event outside of his control. Now serves for one of the most fearsome sides in all the land and always finds an angle of attack, orthodox or not.

Vedran Corluka as The Hound

Always ends up in the battles one way or another and is no stranger to a bloody head wound. A fearless warrior who takes no sh*t from anyone.

Andres Iniesta as The Mountain (obscure, we know)

It doesn't matter how many he is outnumbered by, whether it be six or seven to one, he always seems to find a way to come out victorious.
