Quite the accident from someone employed by the UFC...

UFC accidentally directed members of the media to a sex hotline instead of a conference call in a quite incredible gaffe.

Journalists were invited to join a UFC 242 conference call arranged by the company and thought they details they were given would enable them to speak to Dustin Poirier ahead of his Lightweight Championship title fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.

But MMA media folks were given a surprise when the number was wrong - and it was actually that of a sex hotline greeting them with an erotic message.

When a new and correct number was sent through and the conference call took place, Poirier revealed that he wants to take on Tony Ferguson if he manages to overcome the undefeated Khabib and become champion in next week's event in Abu Dhabi.

"One hundred percent it's Tony Ferguson without a second guess," Poirier said, as per The Mirror.

"Without any argument, it's Tony Ferguson. No doubt.

"[But] I don't think about that type of stuff because 25 minutes with Khabib is all I can focus on right now. I can't disrespect the work that needs to be done."
