Triple H responds to Mayor of London pledging to bring WrestleMania to London

Triple H responds to Mayor of London pledging to bring WrestleMania to London

The WWE legend has responded to the mayor's claim.

Triple H has responded to Sadiq Khan after the Mayor of London pledged to bring WrestleMania to the United Kingdom.

Earlier this month wrestling fans across the world were treated to arguably the biggest WWE event ever when WrestleMania 40 took place in Philadelphia.

WWE stars past and present thrilled fans with huge moves and incredible story lines, culminating with Codey Rhodes completing his story by defeating Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

WWE legends The Rock, John Cena and The Undertaker all made appearances at Lincoln Financial Field, making for an incredible spectacle.

WrestleMania XL was watched by plenty of WWE fans back in the UK, and the following week they got an opportunity to see their heroes in the flesh.

Earlier this month WWE Raw visited London, Bristol, Cardiff and Belfast, and in June, Friday Night Smackdown and Clash at the Castle will take place in Glasgow.

However, WWE's showpiece has never taken place in the UK. That could soon change.

As part of his London mayoral election manifesto, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has pledged to bring WrestleMania to the capital.

"London is already the sporting capital of the world," the incumbent mayor posted on X.

"If I'm re-elected next Thursday - we'll go even further. We'll look to bring WrestleMania, Superbowl and the NBA to London, and put together another bid for the 2040 Olympics."

A few hours after Khan tweeted, WWE legend and the organisation's current chief content officer Triple H real name Paul Levesque - responded.

"Let’s talk," the former wrestler simply replied to Khan's tweet.

Khan replied to the 54-year-old: "I'll be in touch."

It's fair to say UK-based WWE fans were excited.

"Give the PEOPLE what they want Triple H," one fan commented, while another replied to the exchange: "YESSSSSS SIRRRRRR. FINALLY SOME REAL WRESTLING AT WEMBLEY."

A third fan tweeted: "A Wrestlemania in London would be amazing! Imagine Roman Reigns taking on Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania at Wembley."
