Arsenal fans want Jurrien Timber in the squad to face Chelsea after he scores stunning goal in U21s game

Jurrien Timber scored a brilliant goal for Arsenal in their under-21s clash against Blackburn Rovers.

Arsenal fans want Jurrien Timber in the squad for their game against Chelsea following his terrific strike against Blackburn Rovers in an under-21s clash.

Timber started Arsenal's under-21 fixture at Ewood Park and wasted no time in making an impression.

In the ninth minute, he scored a stunning goal to open the scoring.

Timber received the ball on the left wing, then cut onto his right foot before unleashing a brilliant hit.

Arsenal fans have seen enough and demand he's in the squad to face Chelsea on Tuesday.

One X user wrote: "Have seen enough. Get him in the first team ASAP."

A second tweeted: "Just remove him second half. I need him against Chelsea tomorrow."

A third added: "It might be under 21s V Blackburn but that’s a crazy goal. Imagine if we had this guy this season."

A fourth said: "None of our other full backs can do this. He would've been such an amazing option this season."

Another commented: "I need him against Chelsea."

Timber has played just one match for the Gunners since his summer transfer from Ajax after suffering a crushing injury on his Premier League debut.

He's impressed in training having recovered from his ACL injury and could feature for the first-team before the season is over.

On the 22-year-old, Mikel Arteta said: "He’s going to play a game with the under-21s and after that, we will see better where he is, how he felt.

"He looks really good in training, but it’s that last step now. We need to have the certainty that he’s ready to go."
