Manchester United fans left in disbelief as damning stat emerges that speaks volumes about Erik ten Hag decision

Did Ten Hag get it wrong?

Manchester United fans have been left in disbelief after a damning stat emerged questioning a decision made by Erik Ten Hag.

Inconsistent performances from the Red Devils this season have raised question marks over the future of Ten Hag with many believing he should be replaced.

The club haven't been short of controversies this season one of which was the Dutch manager's decision to freeze out winger Jadon Sancho and send him on loan to Borussia Dortmund.

Ten Hag left Sancho out of the squad for a defeat at Arsenal in early September and said it was due to his performance standard in training.

The player then hit back online claiming he was being made a "scapegoat".

A new stat has now emerged showing a list of United's top creators over the last three seasons and Sancho surprisingly places second.

Given he hasn't been overly impressive in a United shirt it's a surprise to see him there. However, he is considerably behind the club's top creator Bruno Fernandes who created a total of 316 chances to Sancho's 86.

Fans were also shocked at the list with one replying 'the Sancho stat has blown my head' and another saying they 'wish it could've ended differently'.

One fan wrote: "Sancho didn’t play at all this season and barely played last season as well but he’s still second, way above the guy who started in his place every game."

Another added: "Sancho being our second best creator whilst not being here for 1 year & taking half of last season off is hilarious."

One more said: "Sancho being 2nd while not getting consistent game time is absolutely insane."

Of course, there is still a chance he could be reintroduced into the team if Ten Hag were to depart the club.

Most of the reaction pointed out the big gap between Bruno and everyone else, proving just how important he is at Old Trafford.

Diogo Dalot places third in this list which isn't bad for a full-back and Marcus Rashford places a disappointing fourth.

Another fan suggested that Fernandes should encourage creativity from elsewhere and that currently the wingers are isolated because of his dominance.

The list could explain the frustrations shown towards not just Sancho, but the out-of-form Rashford and Antony.
