Man Utd 'willing to sell' every member of their first-team squad except three players

Man Utd 'willing to sell' every member of their first-team squad except three players

Manchester United are planning a mass summer clear-out, with the majority of their squad seen as dispensable.

Manchester United are prepared to sell every one of their players this summer barring three stars, according to fresh reports.

The Red Devils are currently sat in sixth position in the Premier League after a dismal campaign where they have lost 12 times in 34 games.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS taking over footballing operations and giving licence to new hires like Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox to make huge changes across the board, it's set to be a summer of wholesale changes at Old Trafford.

The future of under-pressure Erik ten Hag is still not yet clear but James Ducker from The Telegraph is reporting that virtually all of United's squad are seen as available for transfer.

With Champions League football unlikely - and players having their wages cut by 25 per cent as a result - the club are set to take an "ultra-flexible approach" that is more or less a selling before they buy.

Anthony Martial, Raphael Varane and Brandon Williams are all set to leave on a free transfer and they will see what interest materaliases in the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Donny van de Beek, Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen.

Casemiro is also seen as dispensable but with his hefty wages of £350,000-a-week, United may be relying on an mega offer from the Saudi Pro League.

They do not actively wish to sell Marcus Rashford but his poor run of form means they will "genuinely consider" bids for the No.10, who has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

They could recoup funds by offloading Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho and Antony, who finally netted his first goal of the season in the 1-1 draw with Burnley.

But the article stresses that United view the young trio of Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho as off-limits to any interested parties and wish to build the team around them.
