Roy Keane holds nothing back as he rips into Erling Haaland live on air during Super Sunday

Roy Keane holds nothing back as he rips into Erling Haaland live on air during Super Sunday

Roy Keane aimed a dig at Erling Haaland ahead of Liverpool vs. Tottenham.

Roy Keane called Erling Haaland a 'spoilt brat' and stared down host Dave Jones when asked about his assessment of the Manchester City forward.

After his four-goal haul against Wolves on Saturday, Haaland fired back at Keane, who said the 23-year-old is 'like a League Two player'.

On Super Sunday for Liverpool vs. Tottenham, the Irishman aimed a dig at Haaland when discussing Mohamed Salah's touchline row with Jurgen Klopp.

"We saw Haaland yesterday being brought off, not too happy... behaving like a spoilt brat," he said on Sky Sports.

"But because Man City win the game and he scores goals, it’s almost forgotten about."

When host Jones pressed Keane on his claim, the former Manchester United captain stared him down and replied: "No not really... no it's not!"

Daniel Sturridge, who is also in the studio, burst out laughing as Jones said he might pick up on that after the game.

"No problem," replied Keane, who had a wry smile on his face.

Keane slammed Haaland's showing against Arsenal back in March.

Speaking after the goalless draw at the Etihad, he exclaimed: "The levels of his general play are so poor. Not just today - I think his laying stuff off, headers, whatever it might be.

"In front of goal, he's the best in the world.

"But for his general player, for such a player, it is so poor. Not just today - he has to improve that. He's almost like a League Two player, that's how I look at him.

"His general play has to improve, and it will do in the next few years.

"He's been this brilliant striker, he's fantastic, but he has to improve his all round play. He has to."

The superstar forward bagged an impressive four goals in his side's 5-1 win over Wolves.

He has 25 league goals to his name this season as he leads the scoring charts in England's top flight.
