Remember the North Korea U17 goalkeeper who completely gifted a goal to the opposition when he allowed the opposite goalkeeper to score from the opposite end of the pitch in an Asian U-16 Championship match with Uzbekistan a couple of months back? Well he's been with quite the punishment as a result of his blunder.

Today, the official governing body for Asian football have said that both the player, Jang Paek Ho and manager Yung Jong Su will serve 12-month bans.

That means that both will not be involved in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India next year.

The Asian football federation issued the following statement:

"The effect of the match suspensions also means that Yung and Jang are now suspended from the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Should the U-19 representative team of the North Korea Football Association engage in similar behavior in the AFC U-19 Championship 2018 qualifiers, they will be automatically excluded from the competition."

A series of fines have also been handed out to the relevant parties for "bringing the game into disrepute". The North Korea football association are forced to pay $20,000, goalkeeper Jang got a $1,000 fine while the manager Yung was handed a $5,000 fine.

That may appear to be a harsh set of sanctions on the surface but when you watch the clip where the goalkeeper has about 10 years worth of time to collect the ball after it bounced over his head, it's completely understandable.

It screams of match-fixing, doesn't it?
