The Chinese Super League's Only Englishman Has Some Advice For Wayne Rooney

Rooney could be on the verge of a move to China but one man has some advice.

For all the millions of players linked with a move to the Chinese Super League, and I'm not really over exaggerating by that much which is the messed up thing, one thing is lacking- English players. The one Englishman already there has some advice for Wayne Rooney.

South Americans have been popular transfer targets for China with Oscar and Carlos Tevez recently joining the likes of Jackson Martinez, Alex Teixeira and Ramires but so far those from these shores have been relatively untroubled by possible moves.

That is other than Wayne Rooney who is being linked with a move to the Far East before the transfer window closes for CSL clubs in just five days time. Some reports say the Manchester United captain may move whilst others say he will stay at least until the end of the season.

Check out our video of some of Rooney's best tweets:

There is though one Englishman who is already out in China playing in the Super League. Defender Jack Sealy signed for Changchun Yatai in December 2015, after a career spent in Hong Kong.

Sealy, speaking to the Sun, gave Rooney some advice and words of warning about the United record goalscorer doing some proper research before moving east:

"It's vital Wayne does his research and I don't just mean Google. He should come and check the place out before putting pen to paper - otherwise he might regret it.

"...My simple advice to Wayne would be to stick to a club that is near or in the southern cities of Shanghai, Beijing or Guangzhou. These places are modern, developed and have an international population.

"But if he was to stray up to my city, Changchun, or go somewhere like Yanbian, he might not like it and want to come home after a few months.

"He will struggle to find many people who speak English and won't find too many of the creature comforts he's used to."

Sealy makes a challenge on Samir Nasri during Manchester City's tour to Hong Kong in 2013

The 29 year old Londoner, who has represented Hong Kong at international level, also talked about the physical level that Rooney's potential opponents have and sounded very much likely he was trying to sell the league to Wazza saying, "Put it this way, if he wanted to go out for a load of beers or have a few crafty cigarettes, he would get away with it because he is just going to be so much better than most of the players out here anyway."

Sealy could soon have a fellow Englishman in China.

Will Rooney leave for China this week?
