Conor McGregor only captured the UFC lightweight title a few weeks ago but it appears the promotion are already set to create an interim title in his absence.
According to reports, Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson is "90%" complete as they compete for the interim-UFC lightweight title.
The pair have been trading verbal shots on Twitter but are now set to finally meet inside the Octagon with a March 4th date being touted - UFC 209.

"Percent 90 already negotiated all. Fight on March 4 at UFC 209 with Tony Ferguson in Las Vegas for the interim title. Waiting for a call, answer it. On Twitter, he talks one thing and everything in life differently."
Following McGregor's historic UFC 205 victory, the Crumlin-fighter confirmed his brief hiatus from the sport as a result of him expecting his first child.
