Liverpool Fans Are Raging With Philippe Coutinho’s FIFA 17 Rating

"What a joke."

FIFA 17 is about to be released in the UK and gamers everywhere can barely contain their excitement - except when it comes to Liverpool fans.

The world's most popular console football game will hit the shelves on September 24, and FIFA fever is almost at breaking point, but some Liverpool supporters aren't too happy with Philippe Coutinho's overall rating.
Over the last year, since predecessor FIFA 16 was released, the Brazilian midfielder has cemented himself as one of the Premier League's most exciting talents, and continues to weigh-in with some utterly breathtaking goals.

But despite Coutinho's growing influence on the English game, EA Sports have decided to mark Coutinho at 85/100 - apparently some way short of how others view his talents.

To put it into context, Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is rated at 89, and Arsenal's Santi Cazorla is 86. The game's best players - Ronaldo and Messi - are rated at 94 and 93 respectively.

As you can probably imagine, it wasn't too long before the unhappy lot let their feelings be known on social media:

What do you make of the reaction? Does Coutinho deserve a higher overall rating?
