Anthony Joshua continued his perfect record in professional boxing with his latest victory, this time against American Dominic Breazeale as he defended his IBF title for the first time, in London at the O2 Arena.

In April Joshua has beaten another American, Charles Martin, at the same venue to capture his first world title with a second round knockout of the then unbeaten champ and take his record to 16-0. The knockout took his record to 17-0 and left Breazeale with a 17-1 record.

Joshua didn't finish the fight till a knockdown in the seventh, when the champ felled his opponent twice, finishing it with a big left.

The win, against the relatively unknown former American footballer, will only increase the calls for the Olympic champion to step up in quality for his next fight with people likely to want to see him against the likes of David Haye, Tyson Fury, Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder. Joshua's more likely next opponent is New Zealander Joseph Parker who recently beat Carlos Takam in a title eliminator.

Joshua continues to dominates his opponents but was taken beyond the third round for only the second time in his career after his emotional tear up against fierce rival Dillian Whyte, who took him to the seventh, last year but was still knocked out by a brutal uppercut from the former Olympian.
