Reading Fan Goes Viral After Valentines Day Twitter Complaint Backfires Horribly

If you're getting grief from your better half about spending Valentine's Day with them instead of watching the mountain of football on TV, spare a thought for one particular Reading FC supporter.

There's not only Champions League last-16 ties on the box, but English Championship fixtures too, and Jaap Stam's promotion-chasing side are hosting Brentford at the Madejski Stadium.

The scheduling has caused some amount of aggro in one household, as this Tweet suggests:

As you can see from the amount of interactions, Jonathan's sentiments have stirred the pot amongst football fans across the country - and, sadly for him, many of the responses aren't telling him well done:

Oh dear.

Sadly, it looks like despite his objections, Reading will indeed play Brentford tomorrow night, whether Jonathan likes it or not.

Whatever he ends up doing with his evening, we hope he, and his lucky partner, have an absolutely smashing time.

I think we've all learned a valuable lesson about tweeting from Jonathan's example.
