Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Silva has allayed fans' fears that he may be forced to hang up his boots because of a problem with his heart rate, insisting he's OK.
Reports yesterday told that the Brazilian under-21 international was shocked to be told that a potentially life-threatening issue had been picked up during tests conducted by doctors at Sporting Lisbon, as he underwent a medical with the Portuguese side.
The 23-year-old has been with Real since 2013, having arrived from hometown club Cruzeiro for a fee around £10 million.
He spent the 2015/16 campaign on loan at French side Marseille, and was expected to move to Sporting on a similar deal for next season.
But despite that move now looking dead, Silva took to face book to assure his followers that reports of his imminent retirement were wide of the mark:

It looks like Real's elite doctors will now carry out tests of their own, but at least the prognosis doesn't seem as bleak as first thought.
