The Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe who refused to send off Sergio Ramos during Real Madrid's Club World Cup final has finally explained the reasoning behind his scandalous decision.

'Zizou's' men secured the title after beating Japanese outfit Kashima Antlers 4-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo as well as a bizarre refereeing decision which saw him refuse to send off Ramos.

With the game level at 2-a-piece, the Spanish defender clumsily brought down an opposition player and it appeared the ref was set to brandish a second yellow card until a last minute change of heart.

Needless to say, the decision was scrutinized as well as the word 'scandal' being branded around. And the man center of attention has now revealed why he never sent off Ramos.

"It was a miscommunication." He told FilGoal.

"Miscommunication" is the buzz word it seems, as he continues to add; "It was only for a miscommunication between my assistant and me."

"He told me of the foul and told me in the earpiece that 'no card' However, I understood 'card'."
