Chelsea's plans for their renovation of Stamford Bridge is set to get the all-clear.

Hammersmith and Fulham councillors make a decision next week on the plans, which have been advocated by planning offers.

Chelsea officially submitted plans to take Stamford Bridge to a new level back in November 2015, with the ground capacity to be extended to 60,000 from the current 42,000 that it holds.

Arsenal have called the Emirates Stadium their home for 10 years, while Spurs are in the process of redeveloping White Hart Lane.

Chelsea, though they had the opportunity to move to a different location at Battersea Power Station, want to follow suit and remain on the same turf but with an improved and upgraded facility.

Architects Herzog & de Meuron are building the stadium and as reported by The Mirror, plans have been praised as showing "unique architectural solution".

Neil Vano put together the concept 3D designs for the stadium and it's fair to say they look pretty special.

With over 70 per cent of local residents in favour Chelsea are said to be confident that they will get the go-ahead on Wednesday and will look to arrange a deal with the FA whereby they can play at Wembley while work takes place on the stadium - similar to what Spurs have done this season.
