Arsene Wenger Eyes Top Transfer Target Ahead Of Big Summer

His last chance for success?

Arsene Wenger has vowed not to quit Arsenal at the end of the season but with just one year left on his contract is next season his last chance for Premier League success? His number one transfer target suggests he means business.

Wenger has been criticised many times over the years, mainly by Piers Morgan, for his inability to spend. That's despite the recent incomings of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Petr Cech, the man who's 10 points were supposed to win the Gunners the league for first time since 2004.

However this summer the Emirates club could be set for another big clear out and some big additions and according to a report in the Sun this morning the Frenchman's number one target is Leicester City sensation Riyad Mahrez.

There's no news on how much Wenger would splash out on the Algerian but with Barcelona and numerous other clubs also linked with Mahrez it might take quite a big chunk of money to lure him away from the King Power Stadium and towards the Emirates.

One can't help but think signing Mahrez isn't exactly what Wenger's side needs especially with Alex Iwobi impressing so much at right wing recently, although Theo Walcott is linked with a move away from the club in the same report.
