Fans are divided over what Kai Havertz took with him on flight to Munich for Champions League clash

Kai Havertz's hand luggage for trip to Munich has caused a stir.

Fans are divided after seeing what Kai Havertz brought with him for Arsenal's huge Champions League quarter-final clash with Bayern Munich.

Arsenal head into the match in a difficult position following a 2-2 draw at the Emirates handing the initiative to Bayern who will have the intimidating advantage of the Allianz Arena.

Mikel Arteta's men will also still be dealing with the fallout from their disastrous 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

A victory at the weekend would have put the Gunners top of the Premier League and in control of the title race, but they weren't able to capitalise on the golden opportunity.

The result ultimately adds more pressure on tonight's fixture, as a loss could potentially see their impressive campaign fall apart.

With the context of tonight's fixture, fans have been divided on seeing what Kai Havertz brought onto the plane as the team travelled to Germany.

The Arsenal attacker was seen smiling and joking with teammate Leandro Trossard holding a Nintendo Switch for the 1 hour 50 minute flight.

This has caused a stir on social media with fans divided over the German international's hand luggage.

One fan was not happy with Havertz, writing: "Worst player on the pitch for Arsenal against Villa as they bottled the league but he traveled with his Nintendo Switch."

Another fan wrote: "The aura of fear and defeat."

Unsurprisingly there were those who defended Havertz, with the majority rather confused what all the fuss was about.

One fan defending Havertz posted: "Tweets like these make me realise some of you people genuinely still don’t understand footballers are just regular people who are supremely gifted at kicking a ball."

Another added: "Person brings entertainment onto a plane... What do you expect him to do."

Despite the criticism, Havertz has had an impressive season for Arsenal to date scoring some vital goals for the Gunners this season, as he has become a key cog in Mikel Arteta's system.
