Liverpool's Attempt To Troll Southampton Went Horribly Wrong

Liverpool's officially Twitter account had a dig at Southampton ahead of their EFL Cup semi-final first leg tonight.

The Reds do a customary graphic before every game and cheekily featured all of the ex Southampton players in their side in the image that was posted this morning.

Adam Lallana, Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren and Sadio Mane were all purchased from the Saints in recent times and the club made sure Southampton didn't forget that with the pre-match graphic.

The tweet would probably go down as a decent piece of banter but the graphic had spelt Southampton wrong and people were quick to point that out.

The designer of the graphic has since corrected the initial error but not before a bit of trolling. We're all guilty of making mistakes but this one certainly didn't go down well.

The game at St Mary's is currently being played.
