The Sunday lunch kick off involves the champions taking a trip south to the Saint Mary's stadium with just three points separating the two sides.

The Foxes are currently sitting two places above the relegation zone, due to an inconsistent first half of the season. Celebrations of their Champions' League heroics, were cut short most weekends, when they would produce a mediocre and lack-lustre performance in the Premier League.

The contrast has been clear to see, and the fan's celebrations from visions of ecstasy midweek, to disparity on weekends has correlated with those performances.

Even when they conquered the group stages and had no commitment to midweek football, under-par displays continued to occur.

Vardy understandably found it difficult to influence the game against leaders Chelsea on his return from suspension, but will be needed to find his feet quickly considering Leicester have scored just one goal in their last four games.

A lack of goals has also been a problem for Southampton recently, who will be attempting to prevent equalling the club's top-flight record of five consecutive defeats.

This season's top goal scorer for the club, Charlie Austin is still out through injury, and without his presence Southampton have lacked a focal point to their attack.

After a strong start to the season, Southampton have dropped points in games you would expect them to win comfortably. Consequently, the Saints have trickled down the table, and a win on Sunday would be vital in flattening out the downward slope they are currently on.

Despite being a vital game for both teams, the way they have gone about recent games suggests it could be a very tactically cautious approach, meaning the goal tally is likely to be low. BetVictor offers 8/13 for Under 2.5 goals.

Overall, a stalemate is highly likely with both squads lacking confidence that would give them the edge in a well-balanced game. BetVictor are offering 12/5 for a draw.

Or if you feel a packed and rocking Saint Mary's stadium will push the Saints for a win, and that the statistic that Leicester are yet to win an away fixture in the Premier League this season makes it too difficult for the champions, you can put a bet of 20/23 for a home win.
